But after that, upgrading your scuba certification has to be next on the list. Humpback Divers offers a variety of courses to up your certification. 

Advanced Open Water Course

The PADI Advanced Open Water course is the first course after your Open Water Certification that focuses on making you a better diver. You will be able to dive to 100 feet after this course, dive at night, learn more advanced navigation, swim through a swim-through, and have better buoyancy. 

Your course consist of 5 specialty dives- deep and navigation are required and 3 elective dives

  • Deep Dive- Learn about pressure and colors at deeper depths (required)
  • Navigation- Learn how to use a compass and tricks to navigate a dive site (required)
  • Peak Performance Buoyancy- Enhance your buoyancy skills
  • Wreck Dive- Identify hazards and ascent point (elective)
  • Night Dive- Learn how to communicate at night and use your gauges (elective)

  • PADI Certification after completion

Schedules vary. This course is either 2 days to complee the 5 dives. Customize your 5 dives with your Instructor.

PADI ADVANCED Certified for life to 100 feet (30M)

  • $675 total (includes taxes and all equipment)
    • Includes $183 for online elearning

 

Emergency first response (EFR)

The primary reason you take this course is because you want to take your rescue course. But this is very useful knowledge that everybody should have a basic understanding in. How to support basic medical needs until a trained professional arrives.

  • Build confidence being trained in basic rescue skills.
  • Increase willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. 
  • Learn CPR
  • Learn First Aid
  • All medical equipment and protective wear for training

This is a 2-4 hour course taught in the classroom setting.

RESCUE DIVER Course

This course is the penultimate of recreational diving courses. You want to learn how to become the most responsible diver possible by being able to rescue other divers.

  • Self rescue
  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers
  • All Scuba Equipment
  • PADI Certification after completion
  • First aid kit, oxygen unit, pocket masks
  • Floats, marker buoys, CPR mannequins, etc. as needed

This is a two day course. It concludes a confine session to learn the rescue skills. Then two dives another day to perform the same skills in the open water.

    • Includes $193 for online elearning
